The meeting will address the perspective of a national development project based on current characteristics of the working world, which increasingly tends towards automation and robotization. But, also with emphasis on care work, that is already a tradition from a gender perspective when reflecting about the labor market.
We must therefore think of an economic perspective that includes these reflections acting on the transformation of the working environment. And a social protection network adapted to the new configuration of this working reality, such as the proposal of basic universal income.
The webinar will feature lectures by Lena Lavinas, professor of Social Security Economics at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and Tatiana Roque, professor at the Institute of Mathematics of UFRJ and Coordinator of the Science and Culture Forum of UFRJ.
